Eva has been practicing mindfulness since 2011 when she completed a 8-week MBSR in-house training led by Slovenian teacher Rober Križaj. After having this transformative and healing experience that changed her life for the better she was inspired to study to become a MBSR teacher. Coming from an educational background she started her teacher’s journey with Mindful Schools (USA) as she is interested in bringing mindfulness practices to the educational system.
Eva completed Foundations of Mindfulness led by Florence Meleo-Meyer and Zayda Vallejo and Teachers Advanced Intensive led by Lynn Koelber, Jaob Piet and Eric Lopez Maya at Brown Center for Mindfulness (USA) where she obtained the title MBSR teacher and is approved to teach the whole 8-week MBSR course.
She trained at Oxford Mindfulness Center to teach Finding Peace in a Frantic World and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Life.
She is particularly interested in offering trauma-sensitive mindfulness practices to communities and individuals affected by trauma.
In addition to attending silent retreats led by Mellisa Blacker and Chris Cullen among others she is also a practitioner of Insight Dialogue meditation.
At University in Ljubljana, Faculty of Arts she majored in English Language and Literature and Comparative literature. She has taught in secondary school and adult education and currently works as a freelance translator.
